How to eat turron?

First of all, you should know that you can eat turron however you want. But since many people ask, we are going to advice you about how to eat turron.

Although turron is typical from festive days like new year´s eve or Christmas and it´s normally served for dinner as a dessert, in Spain, we all eat it during the whole day in the weeks before Christmas. You can eat it for breakfast or even as a snack during the middle of the day.

Another tip to have in mind when eating turron is to remember that the hard turron is really hard and you don´t want to break your teeth. If you are eating the soft turron, then you should remember that it may melt even before you eat it, so don´t hold it in your hand for too long.

Where to buy turron??

You can buy turron everywhere in Spain during Christmas time. You can either go to big supermarkets like Carrefour or Mercadona, or what we recommend you is to go to a homemade bakery shop and order them there. These kinds of shops are where you will find the traditional turron candy.

You will find the one of the best turron in Barcelona in Planelles Donat. In Madrid, you should go to Torrons Vicens.
